A tour of the studio

Down the left edge:

  • Studio: where you build scenes, record and stream.
  • Clips: your saved clips and recordings. A number shows how many new clips arrived.
  • Montages: your montages and the montage editor.
  • Chat: your stream chats, one tab per platform.
  • Settings at the bottom (also Ctrl+,).
  • Setup menu: switch between setups, make a new one, rename or duplicate. It also shows the canvas size, like 1080p60.
  • Undo / redo (Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Shift+Z). Almost every change in a scene can be undone.
  • Search (Ctrl+K): run any action by typing its name, or jump to a scene or source.
  • Studio mode, the theme switch, automation (lightning), Clips, Settings and the virtual camera.
  • Record and Go Live. The arrow next to Go Live lists your destinations.
  • Canvas tabs above the preview: one per canvas, plus Add canvas.
  • In this scene: the scene’s layers. Select one to change its settings next to the preview.
  • The preview: drag, resize, rotate and crop sources right on it.
  • Scenes along the bottom: click to switch, hover for rename, duplicate and delete.
  • Transition: the transition used when switching scenes.
  • Sound knobs on the right: one per sound source (see Sound).

While you’re live, the Studio turns into the Live deck: stream time, viewers, connection health, a large program picture with a clip button, big scene buttons (F1–F9) and the sound knobs. Edit layout takes you back to the Stage without stopping the stream.

At the bottom: frame rate, render time, health and your graphics card. Click the health to open Stats.
