Canvases and vertical video
A canvas is one video picture with its own size: for example 1920 × 1080 for YouTube and 1080 × 1920 for TikTok or Shorts. Clutch can run several at once.
Adding a canvas
Section titled “Adding a canvas”Click Add canvas in the tabs above the preview and pick a preset: vertical (1080 × 1920), square or horizontal. Rename or remove a canvas from its tab; removing can be undone.
The selected tab decides which scenes, preview, settings and transitions you’re working on.
Sharing sources
Section titled “Sharing sources”Sources are shared between canvases: your webcam or an overlay can be in scenes on both canvases without being opened twice. Sound is mixed once, from the active scene of every canvas.
Using a canvas
Section titled “Using a canvas”- Recording: Settings → Recording → Canvas picks one canvas, or All canvases records one file per canvas, named after it. The replay buffer uses the same choice.
- Streaming: each destination picks its own canvas, so you can stream horizontal to Twitch and vertical to another platform at the same time.
- Virtual camera: Settings → Virtual camera → Canvas.
